A Grateful Northern California Resident

Whiskey Town Lake
One of Northern California's many treasures. I moved up here to escape the smog, traffic and congestion of So Cal. It's a magnificent place to live. I'm so grateful that I had the resources and guts to change my entire life. It's hard to uproot your family and start anew, but if you can live somewhere beautiful, why not? It was worth all the sacrifices.

New Blogger

I just attended an all day program for aspiring writers and one piece of advice was to start a blog. So here I am, blogging. It’s an odd experience to write to the world, but I’m up for the challenge. I will blog about the different parts of my life. Focusing on one topic for the entire year is not my style. My multitasking addiction and art of becoming distracted drive me to spend my time and energy on different life dreams. So my blog, A Day in the Life may be about being a mom, an adoptive mom, an educator, a writer, or a middle-aged woman trying to become fit enough to start Zumba instructor certification classes. Like Eleanor Roosevelt said, “The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” So I’m working on my dreams, making them more beautiful each day, here in the land of blog.
